• Julie is a graduate of UCC and has a long history of working with wildlife. Her love of helping wildlife took a practical turn in 2010, when still in college, she travelled to Durban, South Africa and volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation centre called C.R.O.W. From there she continued to gain experience and worked in Canada at Critter Care Wildlife Society in British Columbia for a year. This was followed by a stint as a Senior Wildlife Rehabilitator at Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue, Scotland for a further year. Returning to Ireland she worked for the I.S.P.C.A in Longford as an animal care assistant and wildlife rehabilitator. She now works closer to home in Fota Wildlife Park •
• In 2017 returning to her native Cork, she established Wildlife Rescue Cork, having seen the overwhelming need for a charity that caters to wildlife. Although working full time, most of her spare time is taken up running the centre along with the help of a few core volunteers who perform transport runs and rescue animals for the charity •
